Your first visit will include:
-An interview with our patient care
coordinator
-Necessary X-rays and diagnostic materials
-A thorough examination of your gums, surrounding bone, and teeth --
an examination that includes oral cancer and TMJ screenings (TMJ is
the joint that is involved in your chewing function.)
-A discussion of your special needs and a treatment plan presented
Based on the exam findings, we will schedule the appropriate hygiene
visit for you. Gum disease is a serious bacterial infection that can
lead to heart disease and stroke. Therefore, Dr. Sahf's hygienist,
Shane or Kristi, pays particular attention to seeing that the
foundation of your smile is healthy
At all times you will be clear on your personal treatment
recommendations and payment options. We will gladly help you use
your insurance benefits, and a treatment plan will be presented. You
can go as fast or as slow as you like.
A healthy, fresh, and beautiful smile is our main focus, and we want
